Skout AI Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By opening an account, sending a message to a companion or otherwise using Skout AI, you agree to these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. Definitions

“Skout AI”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of skout-ai.net. “You” means the account holder. “Service” means the Skout AI website, companion chats and all related features. “Companion” means a generated character available inside the service.

3. Eligibility and age

Skout AI is available only to people aged 18 or over, or older where local law requires. By using the service you confirm you meet that requirement and that using it is lawful in your location.

4. Account registration

You must supply accurate registration details and keep them current. One person may hold one account unless we agree otherwise in writing. Accounts may not be transferred, sold or shared.

5. Account security

You are responsible for your credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access so we can help secure it.

6. Nature of the companions

Every Skout AI companion is a fictional, generated character. No companion is a real person, no human replies on their behalf, and nothing said in a chat should be treated as advice from a qualified professional.

7. Licence to use Skout AI

We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use Skout AI for private, non-commercial purposes while you comply with these terms.

8. Acceptable use

Use Skout AI for its intended purpose: private conversation with a companion. You must comply with applicable law and with any usage limits attached to your plan.

9. Prohibited conduct

You must not use Skout AI to produce or request content involving minors, non-consenting individuals, real identifiable people, threats, harassment, terrorism, trafficking, weapons or illegal goods. You must not scrape, reverse engineer, resell, automate access to, overload or attempt to bypass the security of the service. Breaching this section ends your access immediately.

10. User content

You keep ownership of what you write. You grant Skout AI a licence to store, process and transmit that content solely to operate the service, maintain your conversation history and comply with legal duties.

11. Generated content

Companion replies, voice notes and images are produced automatically and may be inaccurate, repetitive or unexpected. You use them at your own discretion, and we make no promise that any particular output will be produced or repeated.

12. Intellectual property

The Skout AI name, interface, design, copy, character portfolio and underlying systems belong to us or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you.

13. Free tier

The free tier is offered as-is with capped daily usage. We may adjust the limits, features or availability of the free tier at any time.

14. Paid plans and pricing

Paid plans unlock additional messaging, voice and image features. Prices are shown before purchase and may change for future periods with notice; a change never alters a period you have already paid for.

15. Billing and renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period using the payment method on file, until cancelled. Receipts are issued by email after each successful charge.

16. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from the billing area of your Skout AI account. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period already paid for.

17. Refunds

Payments are generally non-refundable once the period has begun, except where a refund is required by law or where a technical failure on our side prevented access for a significant period.

18. Chargebacks

Please contact support before disputing a charge with your bank. Accounts subject to an unresolved chargeback may be suspended until the matter is settled.

19. Taxes

Prices may exclude sales tax, VAT or equivalent local charges. Where we are required to collect them, they are added at checkout and shown on your receipt.

20. Availability of the service

We aim to keep Skout AI running continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, upstream provider issues or force majeure events may cause downtime.

21. Changes to the service

Features, companions and limits may be added, modified or withdrawn as the service develops. Where a change materially reduces a paid feature you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.

22. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, poses a security or legal risk, or is involved in fraudulent payment activity. You may close your account at any time from your settings.

23. Reporting and moderation

Automated and manual moderation is applied to prohibited requests. You can report a problem to support@skout-ai.net, and we review reports promptly.

24. Third-party services

Skout AI relies on third-party hosting, payment and infrastructure providers. Their own terms govern their services, and we are not responsible for their independent acts or omissions.

25. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the Skout AI Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

26. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Skout AI is entertainment and companionship software and is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial or psychological care.

27. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to Skout AI in the twelve months before the claim arose.

28. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Skout AI against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms or of applicable law.

29. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes should first be raised with support; mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence remain unaffected.

30. General provisions and contact

If any clause is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us. Questions can be sent to support@skout-ai.net.
